Health Care

“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.”

– Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

What is the Problem with Health Care?

The divide between health outcomes among the poor and rich is substantial. Thirty-three percent of those who make less than $22,500 a year, address being in poor or fair health. While 12 percent of those who make $47,700 a year, report being in poor to fair health. Essentially, those who are poorer or make less money are more likely to encounter health issues. While wealthy people have better health outcomes than low-income citizens. Affordable Care Act's were then executed and helped open health coverage for the poorest of people. Though there are still those who skip needed health care because the expense is still too great. The question is "how unfair it is that wealthier people can afford better health care?".

How does this affect people?

Inequality in health care has great impacts on peoples lives. The poor don't receive the same resources as those who are wealthy. The cost of health care compromises the quality of health care people get and is unfair. If a person doesn't have health insurance and is in need of it, they wouldn't have any options and would just have to live with it. This is a big issue and is extremely inhumane. It results in the suffering and pain of citizens and isn't right.
